Prithvi Shaw followed his phenomenal 134 on Test debut with a sparkling 70 in his second outing. He then scored an unbeaten 33 that capped off India’s thumping win over the Windies. With a total of 237 runs in this series, Shaw has now scored the most runs by a teenager in a two-match series.

118.50* - Prithvi Shaw (India)
112.00 - Andy Ganteaume (W Indies)
99.94 - Don Bradman (Australia)#INDvWI
Shaw’s super show with the bat was the highlight of India’s tenth successive series win at home. The fact that top order runs has been India’s prime concern in red-ball ball cricket makes his arrival a little more special.

@PrithviShaw in line to win Dilip Sardesai award for best player in India-WI series. Great way for young man to start his career: has a dash of @virendersehwag in him, with run making hunger of a @sachin_rt . Bigger tests will come but let’s enjoy another teen prodigy for now.

While Shaw showcased his command over fine ball-striking, the khadoos in him ensured India achieved a 10-wicket victory at Hyderabad. He received some special praise from India’s head coach Ravi Shastri who saw a glimpse of former greats in his batting. Shastri said, "When he bats, there is a bit of Sachin, bit of Viru [Virender Sehwag]. When he walks, there is a bit of [Brian] Lara as well. That’s a deadly combination to have."
From all accounts, Prithvi Shaw's success owes a fair amount to his early mentoring by @wmakarand . From AG Ram Singh and Keki Tarapore to Ramakant Achrekar and beyond, the coaches who made our cricketing greats need more attention from cricket historians.

Prithvi (Shaw) was outstanding, Rishabh (Pant) was really fearless. Areas that they need to work on, they'll obviously be spoken to in that regard but overall both were really good, solidifying their place in the team&understanding how to place at this level: Virat Kohli #INDvWI pic.twitter.com/F6CFvF5fZy
