During his heydays, a cut largely stood for a slap towards the cover boundary. Under the lockdown, however, the word has a new meaning for batting great Sachin Tendulkar.
Taking on the role of a barber, the Master Blaster's wrists came into play extensively for the first time since he flicked his bat in anger after he resorted to cutting his son Arjun Tendulkar’s hair.
Armed with a trimmer, a razor and a pair of scissors, Sachin Tendulkar recorded the video of the entire process and posted on his Instagram page.
“As a father, you need to do everything, be it playing games with your kids, gyming with them or for that matter cutting their hair,” the makeshift hairdresser mentioned.
“However (sic) the haircut turns out you’ll always be handsome,” he added, tagging his son Arjun Tendulkar, who has played for Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs in the T20 Mumbai league.
He also thanked his daughter, Sara, labelling her as his ‘salon assistant’.
This is not the first time that Sachin Tendulkar has used a pair of scissors to exercise his hair-cutting skills.
Earlier, the T20 Mumbai League Ambassador sported a new hairdo after taking matters in his own hands.
The national lockdown in India is now in its fourth phase, enforced due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Sachin Tendulkar is currently at his Mumbai home, utilizing the time by learning new skills and spending quality time with his family.
