Sagar Trivedi bags a One Day career-best haul

The pacer bagged his maiden four-wicket haul and set up his team for victory.

Pacer Sagar Trivedi buried Meghalaya with a career-best and maiden List A four-wicket haul in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Plate Group match at Dehradun on Wednesday.

Put into bat first by Puducherry, Trivedi struck first in the fourth over when he sent back captain Raj Biswa and set the tone for the innings as Meghalaya were sent reeling at 47/4.

Sagar Trivedi, who played for Shivaji Park Lions in the first season of T20 Mumbai last year, then picked three of the next six wickets helping Puducherry bundle Meghalaya out for a paltry 107 inside 27 overs.

His scalps included the two top-scorers of the opposition that included Dwaraka Ravi Teja for 21 and Sanjay Yadav for 20.

Puducherry went on to win the match by four wickets in the low-scoring affair.
