Official: The T20 Mumbai spectacle returns in May for Season 2

The second installment of the league will kick off on May 14 and will run for 13 days.

Mumbai's very own cricketing extravaganza will continue at the Wankhede Stadium as Season 2 of the T20 Mumbai league is set to commence on May 14, with the final scheduled to be played on May 26.

After the grand success of its inaugural season, the latest edition of T20 Mumbai boasts of a deeper talent pool from the city's best as well as upcoming cricketers, promising a bigger and better campaign.

Further, standing on its success from the inaugural edition, T20 Mumbai will be aired on the Star Sports network this season; broadcast on Star Sports 3 and streamed on Hotstar.

"The second season of T20 Mumbai has been much anticipated, and we are proud to bring you the latest edition of the league," said Kadar Makani, CEO & MD of Probability Sports. "It's great for the city's potential to get such a platform and we are eager to unearth Mumbai's next line of talented cricketers."

"We had a tremendous response from Mumbaikars last year as well and we can only hope the Wankhede Stadium is packed with their love and support for their teams and players," he added.

Names such as last year's Man of the Tournament Shivam Dube, winning captain Suryakumar Yadav, top scorer Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Siddhesh Lad, Pravin Tambe, Iqbal Abdullah among others have already announced their intentions to return for Season 2, while young players like Arjun Tendulkar have also registered for the campaign and have been added to the auction pool.

The dates of the auction will be announced soon and as last year, all the matches will be played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
